Healing is a vital part of the mission of St Luke’s, as it has been since the beginning of the parish. Founded by a woman physician and wife of a sea captain in the early 1890s, St Luke’s has a long history of healing ministries.
Each Sunday members of the congregation offer healing prayers for those who are sick or are faced with adversity.
A healing Prayer Quilt ministry involves the entire congregation in intercessory prayer for those in need. The Prayer Quilts represent love, hope and prayer. Nearly every Sunday, quilts, with ties to be knotted in prayer, are blessed and delivered to those in need of prayer.
St Luke’s is host to a wide variety of other healing ministries including many 12 Step and other community groups.
We invite you to join us in our healing ministries.
